Rafael Franzini

FranziniBefore being appointed as Representative of the UNODC Liaison and Partnership Office (LPO) in Brazil in March 2013, the Uruguayan Rafael Franzini held the post of Assistant Executive Secretary of the Inter-AMerican Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD). Previously, from January 2000 to June 2007, Franzini was Chief of the Anti-Money Laundering Unit of the same organization, while from 1996 to 2000 he worked as Legal Specialist at the Organization of American States (OAS). Franzini studied law at the University of the Republic  of Uruguay in Montevideo. He holds a Master’s dregree in Public Administration from the American University in Washington D.C. and also completed post-graduate studies in criminal law at the University of Salamanca.
